Speaking and Workshops

Alex has a 45-minute talk that he can present in a one-hour timeslot, while allowing time for Q&A and discussion. He can also use content from his manuscript and/or portfolio of courses to create customized half-day and full-day workshops. If you’re interested in either, send an email to:

While most of Alex’s audiences have been on university campuses, there are no bounds on the range of people who can benefit from learning new things about how to manage their money.
Medical schools and hospitals with large incoming cohorts of talent might consider offering students and staff a personal finance information/education session. The same is true for law schools and firms with a significant number of articling students and/or new associates. Why? Because it’s good for employers for employees to be able to do more with their income. It increases the value of their compensation. And positive reciprocity can be a magical thing in employer-employee relationships. It’s the reason that Henry Ford paid his workers double the market wage. Now if only he would have known that personal finance education could have gone a long way too…
Real estate professionals can benefit from personal finance education so they can have better discussions with buyers about how to get their finances in order. Finance professionals who are experts in one area, such as investing, taxes, debt/credit, and/or insurance might benefit from learning about the other areas so they have a more complete view of financial planning. Let us also add that we love to work with engineers because, well, because they tend to love numbers as much as we do. If you think we’re forgetting your group as a potential audience, please reach out to let us know!
